Joining Collibra's Talent Management team:

As the Director, Learning and Development, you will be responsible for building a team and overseeing the design, development and execution of leadership development, management curriculum and learning for all Collibrians. 

You will be a key leader on our Talent Management team, reporting directly to the VP, Talent Management, as we innovate and deliver new solutions to help equip our managers and leaders to engage their teams to succeed in a fast-paced growing environment. You will work closely with leaders across the organization to assess development needs and provide the strategic direction of future learning programs at Collibra and be a key player in building a culture of continuous learning.

The Director, Learning & Development at Collibra is responsible for:

  • Developing a long-term learning strategy and roadmap of internal Collibra training for Leaders, Managers and all Employees
  • Providing expertise in leadership and management development, team and organizational effectiveness, and change management 
  • Hiring, onboarding and leading a team of learning professionals to design, develop and deliver training for all levels and geographies of the organization
  • Owning the overall success of internal learning programs, including stakeholder engagement, alignment with functional learning teams, project management, budgeting, communications, measurement and continuous improvement
  • Measuring the success and utilization of learning, owning the reporting and communication of training performance metrics to all relevant stakeholders
  • Identifying progressive tools and technologies that will improve the adoption and effectiveness of training content

You Have:

  • Education. min Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) 
  • Work Experience. 8-10 years of experience in training/leadership development. Strong experience in building and scaling learning and development programs for an organization. Experience working in a fast-paced, fast-growing organization.
  • People Management Experience. Proven track record of leading teams
  • Project Management Skills. Project management skills to achieve objectives within established time frames.
  • Communication skills. Ability to make professional presentations and to communicate in writing, through emails and reports, or orally, complex technical matters to a wide variety of global audiences.

  • Possesses deep knowledge of adult learning theory, particularly as it applies to leadership development, management development, and team development
  • Understands and can apply best practices around change management and organizational effectiveness
  • Leads by example, modeling effective team leadership and management principles
  • Engages with a wide range of stakeholders to understand needs and drive alignment
  • Collaborates with curiosity, generosity, and accountability 

Reporting to Collibra's VP of Talent Management, the Director, Learning & Development's measures of success are:

  • Within your first month, you will learn our business, build relationships and begin building your team. You will begin building your roadmap of the learning your team will build and deliver. 
  • Within your third month, you will have a solid roadmap of the learning your team will build and deliver, and projects will be in flight. 
  • Within your sixth month, you will be launching new learning programs and will be learning what adjustments you need to make on your roadmap.
