Role Summary:

The Human Resources Director (HRD) will drive HR strategy within the division they support, while operating as an advocate and liaison between operational leaders, the central HR team, and other support functions. The role leverages data to identify and diagnose improvement opportunities and recommend solutions, oversees the timely and effective administration of various talent processes, including coaching and educating leaders and providing input around process optimization. Also, the Human Resources Director will oversee all employee relations items (i.e., employment law, company policies, investigations) within their division while escalating to the central HR team, as needed. In addition, the Director will support the career growth and development of all Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) within their division.

 

Core Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Partner and Liaison for Field and Central Teams

  • Proactively partner with divisional, regional and central teams to ensure knowledge and understanding of new initiatives, organizational updates, updated policies, new initiatives, etc.; anticipate potential impact, needs and advise divisional and central leaders accordingly.
  • Regularly review team talent metrics (to identify trends and take action accordingly with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Assess the organizational health of the division, focusing on talent metrics (e.g., turnover, engagement, and performance data) to identify strengths/opportunities, set priorities and coordinate solutions with appropriate stakeholders, leveraging and engaging central team resources and field leadership, where needed.

Human Resources Operations Management

  • Oversee the implementation and administration of human resource programs within their division, including but not limited to: recruiting, orientation and onboarding; training and development; performance and talent management; engagement and recognition;  compensation, benefits, and leave; occupational health and safety; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations.
  • Manage execution of the organizational goals, strategies and best practices related to staffing, recruiting, and retention; partner with the divisional/central teams to identify areas of opportunity and create solutions.

Employee Relations Management

  • Review, calibrate and provide direction on employee relations items within the division, as needed.
  • Identify individuals, teams and/or locations of concern/risk and develop plans (with divisional leadership and HRBPs) to address.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with organizational standards, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; recommend best practices, as needed.

Manager of Human Resources Business Partner (HRBPs)

  • Serve as the direct manager for all HR resources within the Division.
  • Provide day to day and developmental coaching and support to HRBPs while driving accountability and continuity within the division and organization.
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the field HR department; establish daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly routines for the HR team.
  • Provide education & support between operation partners and HR partners; liaise with central HR, Legal and field teams, as needed.

Performs other duties as required.

 

What are we looking for?

We are looking for highly motivated professionals with:

 

  • 5-7 years of human resource leadership is required; multi site leadership with experience in healthcare is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial/organizational psychology Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work effectively with cross functional groups
  • Enterprise-wide awareness of how one’s work relates to and impacts existing organizational practices and strategy
  • Ability to effectively influence, i.e., commitment vs compliance
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and adapt approach, as needed
  • Excellent project management, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to write formal organizational communications
  • Strong oral communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn talent management systems (proficiency with Workday a plus)
  • US work authorization
