Summary:

The Director, HR Information Systems (HRIS) will be a critical partner to HR in ensuring their IT systems and processes run smoothly by driving operational efficiency and strategic alignment. The individual will lead a team to design and implement efficient business and systems solutions for optimization of Workday, Time and Attendance tools and other HR systems functionalities. This role will also provide leadership and oversight to transformation and integration projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage HR Information Systems organization and processes to standardize level of service and performance KPIs
  • Provide stable and secure operational execution for all HR systems/integrations used across the company
  • Provide direct supervision including mentoring and performance management to an experienced talent pool
  • Serve as an active member for setting short and long-term strategic direction for HR technology working in partnership with the senior HR leadership team
  • Oversee execution of programs and initiatives within HR technology, ensuring that program elements align to the strategic priorities of the HR function and are compliant with the required policies and procedures
  • Establish performance standards and metrics by which programs and initiatives should be measured to evaluate quality, employee impact, ROI, and overall team performance
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and activities through external networks and education to assess the viability of leveraging alternative ways of improving existent HR processes and tools
  • Proactively identifies and resolves issues related to HR systems
  • Develop and apply consistent rules, policies, and practices across HR systems, keeping industry benchmarking and best practices in mind
  • Manage all HR Information Systems vendor relationships to ensure the optimal use of company resources through the proposal and selection process. Conduct ongoing performance and quality assessment of their deliverables



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, HR, or related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of IT or HR professional experience with at least 4 years directly supporting HR systems
  • Minimum 4 years of demonstrated leadership and management capabilities with experience in staffing, developing, and retaining employees
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as subject matter expert or consultant on implementation of Workday, Time and Attendance and HR functionalities

  • Ability to plan and provide structure and organization in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to balance and effectively prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to decompose problems and make decisions when problems or solutions are not 100% defined
  • Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team
  • Uses critical thinking skills and disciplined approaches to help leaders and leadership teams resolve issues and define solutions
  • Influences and energizes others toward the common vision and goal
  • Maintains excitement for a process and drives to new directions of meeting the goal in the face of unfavorable odds and setbacks



Physical Demands:

  • Frequently communicating with others to exchange information
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing
  • Frequently remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Frequently repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Frequently assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned



Work Environment:

  • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable environmental elements are generally absent during normal performance of job.
  • Occasional travel to manufacturing environments where exposure to outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind, noisy environments, and potentially hazardous condition. In the environments, employee must follow all applicable safety and PPE guidelines
