Job Summary

Job Description

The Motion & Drives Director of HR will provide HR consulting services to Managers and Employees as it related to human resources programs and policies, including several areas of human resources, including organizational development, employee relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, performance management and training.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute as a key member of the senior management team to determine and implement the overall business and manufacturing strategies
  • Responsible for directing and leading the Human Resources team and ensure that the HR strategies, policies and procedures are being implemented
  • Support, and develop, as appropriate, the HR team as individuals and as a team as identified in the individuals performance development plans
  • Provide training on tools and resources to support and strengthen the HR operations
  • Ensure the client's needs are met in accordance with regulations, both local law and best practices
  • Ensure compliance, regulatory and legal responsibilities are followed
  • Lead co-ordinate and support local HR representatives in local salary and benefits surveys including recommendations to newly devised or changes in local salary structures
  • Review and recommend benefits/allowances as requested by country
  • Engage and advise HR staff on local recruiting strategies as hiring needs are identified within assigned countries
  • Develop a means by which technically skilled employees are retained and attracted to the business
  • Implement the Talent & Succession Planning procedure in line with the HR strategy
  • Assure communication of executives to employees is robust
  • Attend business meetings to understand the business, employees, and processes a work to continuously improve the organization to be effective in these processes


AUTHORITY & DECISION MAKING

The role holder will hold a budget for the HR department and will be making decisions in line with company strategies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:
  • CIPD Level 5/SHRM qualified or equivalent dependent on Global region
  • Demonstration of experience working with HR leadership to implement process improvements, policies and HR programs is required
  • Advanced user experience with a Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) is required
  • 2+ years international/multi-country HR experience navigating employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
  • Strong employment law knowledge
  • Advanced MS Office Skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


Desirable:

Master's degree and 6+ years relevant experience

  • Ability to partner, influence, and work effectively with all levels of management
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement practical solutions
  • Ability to work effectively in a very fast paced environment with multiple competing priorities a global business culture
  • Strong communication skills
  • High comfort level with multi-tasking required
