The Position

Director, HR Service Delivery

 

What We Need

The Director of HR Service Delivery is responsible for understanding and translating the needs of the business into clearly defined processes, procedures and solutions to support Kareo’s employees in the U.S. and Costa Rica. This individual is responsible for setting and implementing the employee technology roadmap, ensuring an accurate and timely payroll is executed, creating efficient and streamlined processes for managers and employees and owns the employee cycle from onboarding to offboarding. Through strategic thinking and operational execution this role will transform the employee experience while ensuring compliance, security and accurate reporting. The role reports to the Controller and will partner closely with the People, Finance and IT leaders to ensure business needs are met.


Your Area of Focus

  • Lead and coach the HR Service Delivery team to deliver best in class employee experience and ensure accuracy of data
  • Drive case analysis to identify performance strengths, weaknesses, trends and forecasting to drive business outcomes
  • Develop, recommend and drive the entire employee systems platform to enhance the employee experience and streamline processes
  • Develop, implement and train on all employee policies and processes
  • In conjunction with the People team, manage the administration and pay of all leave of absences for the U.S. and Costa Rica
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to develop new tools, processes to meet programs and divisional needs
  • Create standard processes that are repeatable, auditable and documented
  • Ensure system and data integrity across the entire employee platform
  • Partner closely with the People team leadership to ensure fulfillment of strategic initiatives, while maintaining day to day operations
  • Research and resolve complex employee issues and work directly with business leaders, People team and IT to ensure alignment and compliance.
  • Manage and ensure the payroll is accurate and delivered on time
  • Design short and long-term strategic strategies and best practices to improve HR operations
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers
  • Act as point of contact for government agencies including IRS, DOL, US Census Bureau etc.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local tax laws.
  • Assess current policies, procedures, systems, processes and structures in accordance with established goals and objectives. Recommend and implement modifications as needed
  • Simplify and streamline processes and help managers and employees use corresponding self-services tools. Document and train on all processes
  • Responsible for all compliance reporting requirements including ACA, EEO-1
  • Establish a standard set of HR Shared Services offerings and best practices that can be leveraged across the organization
  • Monitor and analyze cases to assess and evaluate effectiveness of team
  • Develop, implement and support metrics, analytics and dashboards for reporting SLAs/metrics

 

Your Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources or related field; professional HR certification preferred
  • 10 years of progressive HR experience, with a concentration in HRIS, HR Service Delivery and/or Payroll
  • 5+ years people management experience, preferred
  • Demonstrate ability to design and executive an HR Operations roadmap and deliver quality results
  • Strong process and program management skills, ability to prioritize, multitasking and managing multiple priorities
  • Strong problem solvings skills and ability to simplify strategy into specific actions, make decisions and communicate priorities
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in SLA and Metrics
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry, with knowledge of audits, and good documentation practices
  • Experience working with multi-state coverage, and with on-site, field and remote employees, and international employee
  • Must be competent with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Strict attention to detail, and regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Complete work both independently and as an effective member of the team, adapting to changing requirements, deadlines and priorities as needed.
  • Strong computer skills in usage of MS Office Suite, and HRIS applications and systems.
