The Director, HRBP partners with the Business at the most senior levels of leadership to leverage the strategy and to drive needed business results. The HRBP acts as a strategic partner to develop and deliver a broad range of HR services to the leadership team to proactively translate the group's business needs into HR solutions that best enable the team to meet its strategic objectives.
The HRBP will act as an extended leadership member and close advisor to the leadership team, developing strategic talent and workforce plans, advising on organization design/development needs and proactively addressing all human capital concerns by leveraging a robust enterprise HR Shared Services organization as well as Centers of Expertise. This role will manage across multiple complex locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as business partner to client groups; provides full support in the areas of HR and strategic planning.
  • Provides analysis and recommendations in such areas as strategic workforce planning, organizational assessment, performance management, organizational structure, and change management.
  • Coach/advise executive level leadership (in partnership with the HR COE's) in all areas of Human Resources management and planning, particularly in the areas of talent management/ succession planning, Leadership development, organization effectiveness, workforce planning, and compensation.
  • Leads and manages all human resources activities to ensure the right people are in place and prepared to meet the challenges of the business.
  • Recommends designs and facilitates implementation of solutions to ensure alignment with the client group strategic development and long-term planning.
  • Support the implementation (incl. launches) of all strategic HR programs and activities, such as Talent and Succession, performance management and Annual Compensation planning.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, to maintain an engaged workforce and to retain the best talent.
  • Counsels and coaches client group senior leadership team on governance of effective and efficient HR policies, annual programs and processes within the assigned Business unit;
  • Ensures service levels are met and assist in facilitating open, constructive communication among all functional areas of human resources.
  • Communicates and follows procedures and practices to ensure integrity of Human Resources data for client group
  • Maintains expert working knowledge of environmental factors influencing the business (I.e., HR legislation, best practices trends.
  • Leads or participates in national HR projects and contributes to HR and business line initiatives.



Typical Minimum Requirements

  • 12+ years of human resources and business experience is required



Critical Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in an HR capacity, preferably in an HR Business Partner in a model that includes leveraging HR Centers of Excellence and HR Shared Services organization.
  • Proven track record working in an enterprise/matrixed large organization
  • Experience working with geographically diverse populations and working independently on a site as lead HR leverage remote HR resources.
  • Ability to travel 25-40% with ability to support all US time zones



Specialized Knowledge / Skills

  • Background in healthcare
  • Bachelor's degree, in HR field, management or the equivalent
  • Understanding of hourly nonexempt culture is helpful
  • HR Certifications helpful



Education/Training

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources
  • Master's degree a plus
