As Director, Head of HR Communications, you would join a team of communications professionals in Corporate Communications who are passionate about helping senior leaders build excitement about our HR strategy, understanding of the business of HR, and experiences that strengthen authentic connections across the organization. In this role, you would develop messaging and communication strategies to support and create momentum for HR's strategic agenda. You would lead key aspects of the HR Communications strategy, including responsibility for important 'moments' and events where we bring together HR leaders and associates to learn about context, build connections, and appreciate our contributions to the bigger picture. You would be responsible for crafting and delivering executive communication plans and communications for the Head of HR and Head of Enterprise HR, specific HR initiatives, integrating touchpoints into an evolving suite of communications 'products' that seek to make it easy for associates to have access to the information they need. The HR organization is on an exciting organizational transformation and you would be working closely with HR executives to build and implement a change management plan to keep HR associates engaged and informed. You would be responsible for building a communications plan that complements HR's Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging strategy.
We're looking for someone with a track record of building effective relationships with and influencing senior leaders - a trusted advisor. We're seeking a creative thought leader who imagines new ideas and inspires others to join in bringing them to life.
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Develop strong knowledge of HR priorities and translate that into strategic communications plans and recommendations to drive associate engagement and broader understanding across HR
- Leverage understanding of priorities, leader expectations, and associate engagement to drive recommendations and influence decisions; earn a role as a thought partner to leaders and colleagues
- Partner with HR leaders to drive strategic messaging through their respective teams
- Deeply understand and work back from the needs of HR associates when creating and managing communications plans
- Provide direct support for HR executive communications, including core messaging, channel choice, preparation for key speaking engagements, written communications, and event management. Understand leader voice to ensure authentic communications
- Be motivated to respond to evolving business needs and new associate insights, shifting plans and tactics throughout the year as needed
- Actively contribute as the leader of the HR Communications team, and navigate a wide range of teams and partners in a matrixed environment to make connections for greater impact

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or military experience
- At least 8 years of work experience in a communications role in a business environment OR at least 8 years of work experience in a communications role in an agency environment OR a combination of both.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong business acumen and executive presence with a history of cultivating trusting relationships with executive leaders.
- The ability to distill complex and sometimes voluminous content into clear, concise and engaging communications.
- Experience leveraging data to create and execute communications strategies, plans, programs and events.
