Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion - Job Description

The Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion will serve as a catalyst and drive development and coordination of our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts for the enterprise. These efforts will align with our company's Core Values and our commitment to living and leading, "Human First". This position is a combination of strategy, alignment, and execution.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set and drive the strategy for our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs, budget, overall impact and KPI's for our internal corporate employees.
  • Lead and further develop the Diversity Council and work in partnership with its members to provide guidance relative to the Council's initiatives and activities.
  • Partner with Core DEI Team, Action Teams, and Executive Sponsor to include, but not limited to, providing recommendations, track and report progress and results.
  • Set, manage, and collaborate with Finance on the DEI budget.
  • Responsible for content and communication plan for any DEI related initiatives within the enterprise and partner with leaders about DEI offerings, opportunities, and education.
  • Provide executive guidance and status on DEI initiatives.
  • Network and connect with other DEI professionals and resources inside and outside the organization.
  • Community Engagement owner for DEI related initiatives and events for all locations.
  • Special assignments and projects as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work experience post education plus education in this field OR 7-10 years' Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work experience in a corporate setting.
  • 3-5 years or experience leading teams or work groups, formally or informally.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with others in a variety of roles within the organization.
  • Deep understanding of best practices and trends in diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a strong track record of translating into an actionable strategy and driving action across various teams.
  • Provide DEI subject matter expertise, providing education and awareness on research, data, challenges, and disparities as needed.
  • Demonstrated experience with public speaking and presenting complex material in a dynamic way and strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to navigate a matrixed environment and build relationships with cross-functional partners.

Preferences:

  • 3-5 years in a DEI specific position preferred.
  • 1-2 years of budget management preferred.
