Compensation Manager, Field
Expanding at a rapid pace, Gopuff is seeking a Compensation Manager responsible for developing and administering the compensation strategy for the field organization (e.g., hourly, distributed workforce). The individual will join the People+Culture Team, reporting to the Senior Manager of Total Rewards.
The successful candidate is customer-obsessed, a change agent who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has strong relationship-building skills combined with effective listening and communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Lead development, implementation, and maintenance of global field levels and compensation structure (e.g., micro fulfillment center roles, part-time/full time, exempt/nonexempt, field leadership)
- Work closely with HR business partners, Talent Acquisition teams, and business leaders on proposals for new hire offers, promotions, and market adjustments, and ongoing job leveling
- Facilitate the compensation review process including requirements gathering, system configuration, data preparation, process management, and communication
- Monitor minimum wage compliance and competitive wage rates across all locations
- Manage/participate in compensation survey submission process
- Documents compensation business processes and coordinates changes improving processes and workflows
- Develop job descriptions by validating essential duties, education, and experience requirements and determining FLSA classification
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field desired
- HR Certifications preferred in at least one of the following certifications: PHR, SPHR, and/or CCP
- At least 3 years as a Compensation Manager or 5 - 7 years as a senior compensation analyst/specialist in a public or global company handling field compensation
- Proven experience administering compensation programs in a fast-paced environment; skilled at interpreting business needs and making decisions based on emerging priorities
Skills/Qualifications
- Knowledge of compensation principles, practices, incentives, equity, job evaluation methodologies for hourly, distributed workforces (e.g., retail, grocery, warehouse, etc.)
- M&A experience a plus
- Must be detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and be able to present analytical data in an easily understandable format
- Advanced technical knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets required
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and be able to use independent judgment in new and challenging situations
- Ability to handle confidential information with a high degree of discretion
- Ability to work cross-functionally with various departments
