Job Description

Butterfly offers a disruptive, inexpensive and ubiquitous approach to ultrasound and imaging, and is disrupting the point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) industry. As Butterfly scales there is an opportunity to join a team focused on supporting our customers with clinical expertise. The clinical education specialist role will partner with the sales team to gain an understanding of the customers educational needs and support post sales activities that increase customer adoption and loyalty.  This role heavily focuses on the ongoing post sale customer experience. 

As part of our team, your responsibilities will include:

  • As a voice of the customer, you will provide customer feedback to product development, customer support, education and marketing teams
  • Partner with customers to identify clinical education goals 
  • Develop measurable training programs that leverage Butterfly’s educational offerings for a train the trainer format
  • Provide reusable training materials that the team can utilize for customer clinical training
  • Collaborate with appropriate internal teams to track clinical training program effectiveness and increase in product adoption
  • Clearly articulate the value proposition to encourage product adoption to potential and existing customers
  • Identify and communicate any additional sales opportunities to the sales team 
  • Professionally represent and be an advocate for POCUS and Butterfly Network product solutions and clinical education programs
  • Work cross functionally with sales, support, customer success and education teams to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Support Education/Training team with POCUS focused internal training activities as needed
  • Perform a broad variety of tasks in support of the role and responsibilities.

Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

  • RDMS, RVT or RDCS certification - required current registration 
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to grasp a general knowledge of multiple disciplines and technologies
  • Must have at least 3 years experience working as a sonographer in a clinical environment
  • Dynamic personality with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience teaching new ultrasound users
  • Passionate about providing solutions to align with the needs of a customer efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to identify the balance between meeting the customers needs and our business needs
  • Understanding of medical image storage for billing, credentialing and archiving purposes
  • Ability to engage customers in both a remote and in person environment
  • Knowledge of online meeting platforms such as zoom and go-to-meeting 
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time if needed
  • Maintain positive working relationships with team members, colleagues and customers
  • Strong ability to stay organized, multitask and prioritize multiple tasks/responsibilities
  • Ability to adapt as customers needs and business needs change and grow
  • Self motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision and maintain a team oriented attitude

Ideally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes (but it’s ok if you don’t!)

  • RDCS, RDMS, and/or RVT certified - Preferred 
  • Experience with POCUS outside of radiology
  • General ultrasound or POCUS Industry experience - either in sales or supporting a sales team
