Job Title:

Campus Recruiter (HR-INCR-03012022-001)

Introduction:

The Campus Recruiter supports the hiring needs of Toshiba's early career programs, including year-round recruiting and related activities for both full-time and intern opportunities. These activities include but are not limited to, planning and managing our internship program, school to work pipeline, identifying and engaging with internal alumni, and development of branding concepts and materials. This is accomplished by building strong relationships with college/university career service departments, relevant department heads, student clubs, diversity organizations, and internal employee resource groups (ERGs) and alumni. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that the best possible early talent is hired.

Responsibilities:

  • Define overall campus recruiting strategy and create individual school strategies to achieve hiring and diversity goals. Serve as the principal liaison between students, university/college organizations, faculty, and Toshiba team members in all aspects impacting the selection of qualified early career talent. Collaborates with hiring managers and internal stakeholders (ex. Marketing), to promote Toshiba on campus and with student and diversity associations. Participates in on campus recruiting events and arranges/schedules presentations to student groups and organizations.
  • Plan and manage our internship program and school to work pipeline. This includes working with VPs/hiring managers to determine the number of interns needed, posting roles, screening candidates, promoting the program with colleges/universities and online through platforms like Linked In, social media, etc., planning and scheduling intern training/activities, educating managers on school to work pipeline program as well as the conversion process
  • Actively promotes diversity recruiting in alignment with campus recruiting plans. May maintain records for EEO and affirmative action reporting requirements. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Work on special HR Projects and audits as assigned.
  • Generates related reports and analyzes recruitment conditions to determine if best practices are being implemented to yield qualified candidates. Reports back to Talent Acquisition management and hiring managers on status of open roles and recruitment strategies
  • Understands and demonstrates awareness of the business environment and operational goals and objectives as it relates to the recruitment process, by making practical and innovative suggestions and recommendations. Escalation of HR issues as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of HR experience with a focus in recruitment/staffing, with at least 2 years of experience in campus/college recruiting
  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, facilitation, negotiation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent presentation and influencing skills
  • Strong ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local legislation and regulatory requirements (Civil Rights Act, Title VII, ADA, FLSA, etc.) as it relates to recruitment. Thorough understanding of talent acquisition practices, principles, and current trends.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to travel


Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience with Handshake (college recruiting system)
