The Opportunity

 

 

As the Campus Recruiter for MassMutual, you will work in close collaboration with leaders in Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to attract and recruit a diverse pool of talented college interns and early career professionals across the enterprise. You will be responsible for building the reputation of MassMutual as a destination employer on college campuses. You will be a subject matter expert on diverse campus sourcing and attraction channels, including participating in virtual events and utilizing social media campaigns to build a pipeline of early career talent.

The Talent Acquisition team is comprised of highly skilled, collaborative problem solvers who are motivated to create the utmost candidate and hiring manager experience, using innovative recruiting tools to move MassMutual – and the industry – forward. The Impact:

 

As the Campus Recruiter on this team, you will be responsible for the full life cycle of recruitment process for our intern and early career talent needs. You will partner closely with hiring managers, program coordinators and the Talent Acquisition Directors. Your responsibilities will encompass the full spectrum of the recruiting process including sourcing, screening, interviewing, evaluation and selection. A key component of this position is the proactive development of candidate pools/pipelines to deliver a diverse top-quality talent pool. You will have impact on the overall organization through the below responsibilities:

 

  • Provide value added recruiting services for intern and early career hiring
  • Act as a consultant to hiring managers to develop and implement robust recruiting and sourcing strategies
  • Perform and manage full life cycle recruiting efforts in the high-volume campus setting with a strong focus on diversity and candidate care including job description/posting oversight, sourcing, screening, interviewing, evaluating and closing top talent.
  • Plan, attend and manage recruitment events as needed
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on diversity recruitment initiatives
  • Pro-actively leverage social media channels & professional networking vehicles for robust sourcing results
  • Meet all defined service level agreements with regards to timelines, recruiting metrics and compliance guidelines
  • Proactively gain market insights to utilize/leverage with sourcing, attracting and hiring top talent as well as providing competitive information to business lines
  • Define target audiences and develop marketing campaigns and messaging that promote the MassMutual employment brand on campus and MassMutual as a top place to work
  • Identify and cultivate key partnerships with universities and organizations, serving as a relationship manager on behalf of MassMutual
  • Create a calendar of campus recruitment events and oversee all logistical coordination and implementation through planning, resource requirements, and needs assessment
  • Stay current on campus recruiting events, national internship trends, technology innovation in recruiting and standard best practices
  • Partner with Talent Brand team to create strategies and campaign content for social media via LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. Post pictures, content and updates real-time during events. Focus on developing social media strategies to market programs and employment brand nationwide
  • Provide data analytics related to hiring, diversity, and conversion
  • Assist with recruiting for non-campus roles to support during high volume spikes

 

 

 

The Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 1 year of related full life cycle recruiting experience in a high volume setting, preferably with a campus component
  • Ability to attend events as needed both virtually and in person (once deemed safe to do so)

 

 

The Ideal Qualifications

 

  • Experience sourcing candidates through professional social media platforms and hiring events to deliver top quality talent and a diverse talent pool
  • Experience with entry level tech, finance, actuarial and/or operations programs
