Overview
Coordinates the day-to-day administration of PennyMac's employee benefits programs. This position will also provide analytical and reporting support in PennyMac's Human Resources department, specifically regarding employee benefits and divisional compliance privacy programs.
Job Description

  • Track LOA usage and benefits payments
  • Determine COBRA eligibility for employees on a leave of absence
  • Answer employee questions regarding benefits, e.g., coverage, premiums, claims processing, etc.
  • Administer the processing of qualified life events, including verifying proof of the event and managing any plan/billing changes
  • Maintain knowledge and provide analysis of government regulations, benefit program trends, and prevailing practices among similar organizations. Ensures compliance of benefits administration with federal and state laws including IRS and DOL regulations
  • Work closely with broker to coordinate all benefits processes, reporting, renewals, and annual open enrollment
  • Work as a liaison with PNMAC's benefits vendors
  • Maintain current records and tracking of all invoices and payments to vendors
  • Create and manage reporting on all benefits plans
  • Complete all EDD paperwork in a timely and detailed manner
  • Manage HR compliance and privacy tracking requirements
  • Manage the intake of all worker's compensation claims
  • Responsible for ensuring all 401(k) deferral changes are accurately reflected in payroll
  • Assist with the Wellness program to develop and implement various challenge activities for employees throughout the year
  • Maintain corporate benefits intranet site
  • Administer and grow corporate discount program
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state labor law, including IRS and DoL regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint and Word, and HRIS)
  • Working knowledge and experience with databases
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Knowledge of incentive compensation plans and calculations, and HR metric analysis and reporting preferred
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
