Lyft’s Core People Business Partner (PBP) team is looking for an Associate People Business Partner (APBP) to join our amazing People Team. In this role, you’ll create value by helping the People Business Partner Team provide excellent service to our business. The ideal candidate has experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments. We are seeking someone who can thrive in ambiguous situations, while fostering a collaborative, open, and fun culture!

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as part of the operational arm for the People Business Partner Team. You will be the first point of contact for team members and People Business Partners with People-related needs, questions, and concerns in service of various organizations at Lyft.  
  • Support the People Team in executing and improving company-wide People programs and projects focused on building Lyft’s culture and strengthening team member engagement (performance management, career pathways, engagement surveys, HR case support).
  • Execute on mass changes on behalf of the PBP Team (open/active headcount management, reorganizations, HR audits).
  • Manipulate and interpret People data in various tools to track data, identify patterns and make recommendations to PBPs (exit survey data, org health metrics, engagement survey data).
  • Utilize Lyft’s People policies and practices while fielding questions of all types, from performance management to employee relations. Resolve people-related issues through attentive listening, clarifying and gathering relevant data. 
  • Coach leaders on People decisions using data, your understanding of the business, and your HR expertise to ensure decisions are made fairly and consistently.
  • Hone your already-strong communication skills, and support good change management through open, honest, and timely communication.  
  • Maintain PBP knowledge base to ensure standardization of HR support.
  • Work with PBPs to assist with projects on an as-needed basis.

Experience:

  • Relevant HR working experience 
  • You are independent, organized, and passionate about detail. 
  • You are a team player, excellent at building relationships within your team and across teams.
  • You are a motivated and active learner.  If you don’t understand something, you figure out a way to learn about it, and you aren’t afraid to ask when you need help.
  • You are a great multi-tasker, able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines at once.
  • You have superb written and verbal communication skills
  • You have passion for people, a strong sense of personal integrity, and a desire to do the right thing.
  • You thrive in situations where you can think critically and anticipate issues before they arise, and proactively suggest big-picture solutions.
  • You have a track record of owning projects or programs end to end, including, but not limited to, communications and change management
  • Experience working with Canada or an international client group is a plus. Bonus points if you are proficient in French!
