Job Summary
The Systems Engineering Division (SED) provides unmatched experience in systems engineering to the U.S. government and to numerous public and private agencies, universities, nonprofit organizations, consortia, and commercial companies involved in the advanced application of space technology. From systems architecture development to system analysis and optimization, astrodynamics, orbital debris, navigation, failure analysis, mission assurance, cost and schedule assessment, and economic market analysis, SED exploits an incredibly broad array of engineering and business disciplines against a diverse and dynamic portfolio of programs and national challenges.
We are currently seeking an Administrative Specialist to primarily two departments, the Systems & Operations Assurance Department (SOAD) and the Reliability & Statistics Department (RSD) in our El Segundo, California location.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepares and formats reports, memos, correspondence, and forms.
- Assists employees with travel arrangements including transportation and hotel accommodations. Processes travel expense reports in a timely manner.
- Prepares purchase requisitions following through approval process and delivery of material.
- Schedules meetings and reserves conference rooms. Coordinates and supports certain meetings including obtaining clearances and badges for visitors. Sets up conference rooms and arranges necessary media.
- Orders office supplies. Monitors printers and copiers for supplies and maintenance.
- May organize, provide, and coordinate incoming and outcoming mail and shipments.
- May provide back-up to higher-level administrative support.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- A.S. Degree in Office Administration, English, Liberal Arts, or completion of an equivalent certification program
- Three (3) years of experience with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Office 365 collaborative and sharing tools such as SharePoint
- Customer service orientation; ability to represent the company favorably to customers and visitors
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects while working efficiently under scheduled deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with effective organizational skills
- Excellent typing and proofreading skills and communication skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision, to self-initiate activities, and to work within timelines
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Knowledge with databases and related applications such as SQL, MS Access
- Proficiency in business management software applications for time recording, travel, purchasing, document publishing tool, etc.
- Current DoD Secret clearance
