About the role  

DS Smith Bulgaria is looking for a HR Recruitment and L&D Specialist to join our experienced team to provide expert support in current ongoing projects and initiatives as well as delivering HR strategy across the business.

The successful candidate will be part of the HR team and will be entirely responsible for the processes Recruitment and L&D as main focus. Key to this appointment is both attitude and experience; someone who is approachable and positive and can see opportunity in challenges.

Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Working with colleagues across all departments to develop strategies for recruitment and retention in Bulgaria
  • Understand external factors and its implications on the business and people strategy
  • Driving engagement and providing support, to constantly improve employee retention and employee wellbeing.
  • Supporting Onboarding project for all new hires and all related activities
  • Performance management
  • Experience of driving inclusion and diversity initiatives and positively impacting employee engagement
  • Experience of developing and supporting line managers through change is essential
  • Assist in the review and implementation of robust policies, procedures and systems to ensure that high standards are maintained
  • Provide support across all HR function, including administration, labor law, giving support on any HR issue across the Foundation and working as part of the team

About you:

  • Positive can-do approach
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Highly competent in MS Excel, PowerPoint and other analytical tools
  • Workday and/or HeRMeS experience would be an advantage
  • The ideal candidate has worked in a fast-paced organization and had minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Recruitment and including implementing organizational change, complex case management and supporting HR projects
  • Ability to establish positive and effective working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Composed under pressure and deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
