💼 About the Role
Are you passionate about enabling managers and creating exceptional employee experiences? At Novanta, we are looking for an HR Generalist who thrives on making a real impact. In this dynamic role, you will be the go-to partner for frontline managers - coaching, guiding, and supporting them through every stage of the employee lifecycle.
You will be a trusted advisor, a problem-solver, and a change agent—working closely with People Leaders and Talent Partners to deliver consistent, high-quality HR support while fostering a culture of engagement, compliance, and continuous improvement.
🔧 What you will do
- Coach & Enable Leaders: Support managers with performance management, development conversations, and HR processes.
- Drive Engagement: Lead onboarding, offboarding, and employee experience initiatives.
- Manage Employee Relations: Resolve conflicts, conduct investigations, and provide expert guidance.
- Support Workforce Planning: Collaborate on hiring strategies and organizational design.
- Champion Continuous Improvement: Apply Novanta Growth System (NGS) methodologies to enhance HR processes.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain alignment with local labour laws and contribute to policy development.
🎯 What you bring
- Education: Ideally you will have a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
- Experience in a similar role within HR
- Exposure to HR systems, policies, and processes
- Skills:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Analytical mindset with experience using dashboards and data
- Knowledge of performance management, employee relations, and org design
- Familiarity with process improvement practices like NGS (Novanta Growth System) or Continuous Improvement tools
