The Head of Total Rewards & People Operations is a key leadership role within Mindbody’s People & Culture (P&C) Team, responsible for supporting the global workforce, company goals, and business results through compensation, benefits, sales compensation, and P&C operations. Responsible for strategizing and managing the total rewards teams, as well as P&C operations, technology, and analytics functions to ensure the Mindbody people policies, programs, processes, systems, and tools are running effectively and efficiently, while consistently delivering on total employee experiences and packages that attract, retain, and motivate employees.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead teams of total rewards (benefits, compensation, sales compensation) and P&C operations (HR systems, analytics, HR business operations, compliance) professionals; provide coaching and development opportunities, as well as tools and resources, to ensure the team has the skills and capabilities to deliver on business goals and innovate on strategies.
  • Assess the organization’s total rewards philosophies; identify shortcomings and recommend improvements that will support a high-performance global organization. Ensure global compliance in all areas of total rewards, accounting for an equitable approach while understanding the market standards and statutory offerings.
  • Provide guidance on salary budgets and oversee the compensation cycles from end-to-end, including company approach, system setup, leadership and employee communications, and reporting.
  • Manage the strategy, design and administration of sales compensation plan, incentives, and payouts. Understand the business and team structures, as well as global considerations, to provide the best strategic input and guidance.
  • Oversee the administration of our long-term and short-tern compensation programs, including stock option, equity, and bonus plan design, to attract and retain employees.
  • Create policies to ensure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee benefits and wellness packages across countries and regions, while overseeing the seamless integration into systems and procedures.
  • Drive improvement in our P&C operations in support of the company strategy and scalability goals to remain compliant, adhere to data privacy laws, operationally efficient, and prioritizing a positive employee experience.
  • Define P&C systems and tech stack strategy and roadmap that aligns with Mindbody vision and strategies. Manage implementation of any new systems, including HCM, LMS and other systems that impact teams companywide. Includes managing contracts, budgets and vendors as needed.
  • Develop and refine people analytics strategy, including data reporting, insights and governance. Drive development of people insights leveraging existing tools & building new capabilities to support the business in data-driven decisions.
  • Understand global mobility and immigration needs to provide recommendations on policies, processes, and education
  • Partner across all areas of People & Culture and the organization. Develop strong and enriching stakeholder relationships internally in P&C, cross-functionally across the company, leadership, and with external vendors.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of experience in People & Culture (HR), with a focus on total rewards, benefits, compensation, sales incentives, HCM systems, people analytics & HR operations
  • 5+ years leading and developing global, high performing teams
  • Proven ability to create comprehensive total rewards strategies, policies, and processes that are inclusive, equitable, and meet all applicable requirements; as well as successful change management and communication actions
  • Experience leading global benefits teams and creating holistic benefits and wellness programs
  • Proficiency in complex job architecture and structure, including executive compensation, sales compensation, and long-term incentive plan design
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all local laws and regulations, as well as labor and union contracts or agreements that may affect policies
  • Experience leading a people analytics strategy. Related knowledge and skills working with diversity-related data. Ability to articulate the impact and value to the organization across different audience groups
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage P&C processes and/or technology projects
  • Experienced in HR systems that impact the business (e.g., HCM, ATS, LMS, Comp tools, Employee Relations, surveys, reporting tools); Dayforce and Greenhouse a plus
  • Program or project management experience; strong level of ownership and attention to detail
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, drive clarity, and effectively manage change in a fast-paced and ambitious global environment
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills; strong executive presence
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as vendor management



WORK ENVIRONMENT AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This role is fully remote
  • Minimal travel required (about 10%)
