Dark Wolf Solutions seeks a highly experienced and energetic Hardware Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. In support of the government customer, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer, the Hardware Engineer is responsible for responsive and coherent planning, development, and delivery of PARCS and UEWR assessment of systems and networks within the environments to identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. This position will be a hybrid opportunity with onsite support as required by the customer at Peterson SFB Colorado Springs, CO. Candidates must be located physically in the Colorado Springs, CO area or surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Perform electrical and mechanical (signal, power & thermal) analysis at the rack level.
- Generation of engineering drawings in accordance with ASME and IEEE standards, including rack assembly drawings, interconnect wiring diagrams and custom cable assemblies.
- Analysis of supplier LRUs, including step-file and 3D model review and compliance to specifications.
- Ability to support system integration, test, development, and execution of various types of complex communications systems.
- Participate in troubleshooting systems to resolve complex issues, interact, and coordinate with engineers responsible for sustaining sub-systems.
- Provide obsolescence support identifying replacement components that meet or exceed defined requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors and nine plus (9+) years’ experience; Masters and seven plus (7+) years’ experience; PhD or JD and four plus (4+) years’ experience.
- Experience in designing new or modifying existing products, developing technical specifications for production, analyzing hardware configuration and processing solutions, and testing hardware conformance to specifications.
- US Citizenship and active Secret security clearance or higher.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience sustaining PARCS, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PAVE PAWS and UEWR.
- Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise.
This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.
The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000.00 - $140,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
