About Digital Green

Digital Green is a pioneer global not for profit organization, utilizing digital platforms and community-driven approaches to amplify the voices of smallholder farmers and improve their livelihoods. Our mission is to create a world where farmers use technology and data to build prosperous communities.  By harnessing the power of technology, we facilitate knowledge sharing, capacity building, and market linkages, enabling farmers to adopt sustainable agricultural practices and increase their productivity and income.

We are dedicated to transforming the lives of under-served smallholder farmers worldwide through innovative technology solutions. Backed by leading philanthropic organizations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), Walmart Foundation, USAID, and UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (UKFCDO), we are committed to leveraging data and technology to empower smallholder farmers and strengthen agricultural extension systems.

Overview

We're seeking a Growth Analyst who is an Individual Contributor to drive FarmerChat's expansion across India, Kenya, and Ethiopia by designing and executing data-driven analysis across acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention. You'll own the full growth analytics function— to improve our acquisition, activation and retention, WAU/MAU, building dashboards and delivering weekly insights that guide strategic decisions, and coordinating growth initiatives across our global country teams. This role combines deep data analysis ( cohort analysis, funnel optimization), and cross-functional partnership (working with Product, Design, and Marketing to build growth into our product).

Responsibilities

1. Data Analysis & Strategic Insights

Be the Data Expert for Growth Decisions:

  • Build and maintain growth and performance marketing dashboards tracking key metrics such as installs, CPI, CAC, activation rate, WAU/MAU, retention, ROAS, and queries per user.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on user behavior, cohort performance, acquisition-to-activation funnels, attribution paths, and drop-offs across paid and organic channels.
  • Perform advanced segmentation by geography, user type, crop, acquisition source, campaign, and engagement level to optimize targeting and creative strategy.
  • Analyze WhatsApp, push, in-app, and paid campaign performance (open rates, CTR, CVR, CPI, CAC, ROI) to improve lifecycle and re-engagement efficiency.
  • Build and maintain scalable data systems and manage periodic reporting across the organization.

 2. Growth Optimization Analysis

Analyze end-to-end engagement metrics across the user lifecycle:

  • Acquisition: Evaluate creatives, landing pages, and channels to optimize CPI and improve attribution and conversion across paid, social, and organic sources.
  • Activation: Analyze data and share insights to improve onboarding flows, suggested queries, push notifications, and in-app campaigns to reduce friction and increase activation rates.
  • Engagement: Analyze feature usage and campaign interactions to improve WAU/MAU through notifications, content, gamification, and social features.
  • Retention: Optimize D1/D7/D30 retention and re-engagement strategies for churned users through targeted campaigns and lifecycle interventions
Required QualificationsMust-Have
  • 2+ years in growth analytics, product analytics, or business intelligence
  • Analytics Tools: Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, MoEngage, MMP ( Adjust), Google Workspace
  • Statistics: Strong understanding of testing methodologies and statistical significance
  • Growth Expertise: Deep knowledge of acquisition, activation, retention frameworks (AARRR metrics)
  • Communication: Ability to explain complex analysis to non-technical audiences clearly
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or quantitative fields
What You’ll Bring
  • Strong ownership mindset (not task-driven, but outcome-driven)
  • Bias toward experimentation and iteration
  • Ability to balance data rigor with speed
  • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Passion for building technology that drives measurable social impact
