Job Description
We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Renewables Poland Office of the Ignitis Renewables team, where you’ll be leading all the issues related to connection to electrical grid for renewable energy sources and Battery Energy Storages during development, M&A, construction and operation of such projects. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
- Appraising grid connections from technical and commercial perspectives to identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Identifying and evaluating potential locations and connection possibilities for RES and BESS.
- Negotiating and managing connection agreements for RES and BESS.
- Supervising connection works, ensuring coordination with DSOs and TSOs.
- Analyzing and monitoring TSO and DSO grid development plans.
- Conducting procedures to obtain technical conditions for grid connections.
- Optimizing existing asset connections, including capacity increases and BESS integration
Qualifications
- University degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience leading grid connection projects for medium to large-scale RES.
- Established network with TSO and DSO contacts.
- Knowledge of HV electrical grid conditions and modernization plans in Poland.
- Understanding of legal and technical aspects of RES connections in Poland.
- Experience in the renewable energy market is a plus.
- Proficiency in Polish and English
