As a Global Investment Banking Deal Services Billing Analyst/Associate within the Deal Services Billing Team, you will manage billing and invoicing activities related to all Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), and Debt Capital Markets (DCM) transactions.
Job Responsibilities
- Gather and confirm deal/legal documents and client payment instructions for compliance checks.
- Manage legal billing by liaising with law firms, creating expense estimates, and securing invoice approvals.
- Coordinate vendor billing by identifying expenses and obtaining invoices from third-party vendors.
- Create and review invoices, ensuring KYC checks, tax treatment, and secure sign-offs from relevant parties, including the Deal team.
- Engage with clients and vendors, handling billing queries and maintaining accurate contact information.
- Collaborate with Middle Office teams to ensure timely fund transfers and invoice processing.
- Track and manage outstanding receivables, liaising with clients and bankers for timely recovery.
- Address unbilled expenses, enforcing SLAs and reporting to Deal Team Leaders and Business Heads.
- Monitor funds flow, reconciling incoming funds with receivables and triggering refunds as needed.
- Facilitate communication between Product Control, Bankers, Clients, and stakeholders, managing the billing system and prioritizing technology enhancements.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to roll up your sleeves.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, with a keen interest in leveraging technology for process improvements.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Demonstrated ability to drive the implementation of new processes and operating models.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work within a newly established team, contributing to a collaborative and innovative culture
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience in billing, invoicing, or financial operations, preferably within M&A, ECM, or DCM transactions.
