The Role 

As a GL Accountant (EMEA team), you play a crucial role in managing and reporting financial information for Grass Valley. 

Responsibilities:

• Management of month-end closing activities which covers accounting and reporting on US GAAP as well as consolidation of Grass Valley entities in EMEA where applicable. 

• Responsible for timely booking of accounting entries, analysis of balance sheet and P&L accounts, including (intercompany) account reconciliations, during each month-end close. 

• Supporting the statutory reporting processes including annual audit reports and CIT filing 

• Ensure compliance with all statutory filing requirements, Company and Accounting policies 

• Propose and prepare monthly intercompany transactions for settlement.  

• Close collaboration with other departments on a variety of topics: ranging from Accounting to Treasury, as well as AP and AR. 

• Assist in implementation of new processes and system implementation when required. 

• Preparing analysis of financial performance where required. 

• Provide support for ad-hoc projects and activities. 

What you will need to be successful:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 

• Minimum 3 years of solid working knowledge of GAAP financial reporting 

• Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel 

• Basis skills in other Microsoft Office applications 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English 

• Able to create and maintain solid working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills 

• Able to multi-task and meet deadlines 

• Quick learner and a team player 

• Proactive, responsible and independent
