Position Overview:
The Functional Architect will design, implement, and oversee the FIDO (Fast Identity Online) authentication framework within a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) project. The architect will work closely with the project team to ensure successful architecture and integration into existing applications.
Duties:
- Develop a comprehensive architectural design for the integration of MFA solutions with the existing systems, including Azure, Microsoft Entra, AD, PKI, certificate services, and applications.
- Evaluate FIDO2 security keys, smartcards, and Windows Hello for Business as potential authenticators to meet the client's Security Policy requirements.
- Ensure that the FIDO-based MFA solutions comply with the client's Security Policy, NIST SP 800-63 guidelines, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the integration of FIDO-based MFA solutions with the existing infrastructure, conduct thorough testing, and ensure seamless interoperability.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, guidelines, and training materials for the implementation and maintenance of FIDO-based MFA solutions.
Required Skills:
- 20 years of relevant experience as a Functional Architect
- 10 years of experience with architecture design
- 7 years of experience with security engineering/architecture (PKI, MFA etc.)
- 10 years of experience with technical evaluation
- 5 years of experience with technical documentation (materials for evaluation, implementation, guidelines, policy)
