A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a Flight Information Exchange Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC supporting the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) Technology Development and Advanced Concepts Division. The Engineer will provide engineering analysis, special studies and technical analysis associated with Trajectory Based Operations and flight information exchange including the integration of new entrants into the NAS.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct engineering analysis to identify the key stakeholders that provide flight information.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of flight information exchange, consumption and integration in the NAS.
- Review the use of automation and decision-support tools in managing flight data, including manual vs. automated processes.
- Develop Engineering Reports to summarize the applicable use and data management process.
- Perform engineering analysis on the flight and operational information within the upper-Class E operation’s cooperative area (CA).
Skills Required:
- Prior FAA engineering experience, particularly with FAA Automation programs (ERAM, TBFM, STARS, TFMS), with the flight information exchange paths between FAA automation systems, and/or with the FIXM, FLXM and Flight Object projects.
- Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy.
- Proficient with MS Windows and MS Office applications and software.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering and 6-10 years of relevant work experience.
Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required. It is imperative that candidates be either a US citizen or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a resident of the US.
The salary range for positions is $50,000 to $175,000. This range is provided as a general guideline and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of compensation. Actual salary offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. In addition, compensation may be influenced by applicable Federal Government contract labor categories and established contract wage rates.
