JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for the maintenance, optimization, and support of Workday Financials and related financial technology platforms. This role collaborates with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to ensure financial systems are functioning effectively, integrating seamlessly, and meeting business needs. The analyst will leverage experience with Blackline, Adaptive Insights, Kainos, and Kodiak to drive efficiencies and process improvements within financial operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field required.

Work Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in financial accounting, financial systems, or ERP implementation required 
  • 3+ years of experience in Workday Financials required 
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts and processes.
  • Prior experience with financial system integrations and automation preferred.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Experience with Workday Financials modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Fixed Assets.
  • Familiarity with Blackline, Adaptive Insights, Kainos, and Kodiak is highly desirable.
  • Ability to analyze existing financial processes and identify opportunities for improvement using Workday Financials.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on system optimization.
  • Experience in configuring Workday Financials modules and developing custom reports, dashboards, and analytics.
  • Knowledge of financial reconciliation tools such as Blackline.
  • Understanding of Adaptive Insights for financial planning and forecasting.
  • Ability to test and validate Workday Financials configurations, troubleshoot issues, and execute test cases.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with finance teams and provide user training.
  • Ability to develop user documentation and training materials.
  • Stay up-to-date on Workday Financials updates, enhancements, and best practices.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred

  • Workday BIRT reporting experience.
  • Knowledge of Calculated Fields in Workday.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, Essbase)

  • Analyze existing financial processes and identify opportunities for automation.
  • Document and map business requirements to Workday Financials configurations.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to understand needs and provide solutions.
  • Configure Workday Financials modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets.
  • Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and analytics.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the system.
  • Develop and execute test cases to validate Workday Financials configurations and integrations.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues during testing.
  • Provide training and support to finance users on Workday Financials.
  • Develop user documentation and training materials.
  • Resolve user inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to identify and implement system enhancements.
  • Stay up-to-date on Workday Financials updates and industry best practices.
