The Role

Join the Honeybee Robotics Motion Control team in Longmont, Colorado, and become part of a 40-year legacy as pioneers in space robotics. Honeybee Robotics is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our growing finance team. The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing comprehensive financial analysis and reporting to support month-end close, strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities. This role requires excellent communication, organizational, accounting, financial reporting, and Excel skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Program Management with tools and support for effective program financial management
  • Assist in quarterly forecasting and annual strategic planning exercises
  • Facilitate the month-end close process, including journal entry preparation and reconciliation
  • Conduct ongoing reviews of gross and standard margins
  • Perform variance analysis based on actuals, plan, and trends, collaborating with leadership to identify risks and opportunities
  • Prepare and analyze weekly/monthly reports for the management team
  • Support senior leadership in headcount forecasting, reporting, and budgeting
  • Identify and develop continuous improvement opportunities within the business and finance department
  • Analyze overhead spending to assist department leaders in budget management
  • Provide support for ad hoc corporate and business requests

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or auditing
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, accounting software, and ERP systems
  • Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project accounting experience
  • Advanced skill in any Business Intelligence software
  • Government contracting experience and knowledge of related compliance considerations

Compensation and Benefits:
