Financial Analyst II – Treasury
The Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career.
The TJX Corporate Treasury team is searching for a Treasury Analyst to support our Foreign Exchange and Fuel Hedging programs. This is an outstanding opportunity to have a meaningful impact driving business decisions within our Corporate Treasury team and having regular interaction with executive level management.
A successful candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical and time management skills, strong attention to detail, and an inquisitive approach to understanding the needs of the business and hedging solutions.
Your Impact:
- Provide analysis to management and negotiate and enter into competitive trades for the purchase and sale of foreign currencies on both a spot and forward basis as well as hedging the company’s fuel exposure. Maintain company records of all Company currency purchases and ensure communication of relevant information to internal parties.
- Partner with cross-functional internal teams including accounting, tax and global entities in Canada, the UK, and Australia to support hedging and exposure management programs.
- Proactively identify currency exposures and work with leadership to identify hedging strategies.
- Perform variance analysis of underlying exposures and hedging results, identify key takeaways and recommendations for leadership.
- Provide analysis and research trends to identify better FX banking opportunities.
- Identify opportunities through technology to create efficient and effective processes while mitigating risk.
- Provide weekly and monthly analysis of mark to market valuations and provide explanation of changes as needed.
- Presentations to internal partners and external counterparties on FX and fuel hedging programs.
- Maintain FX banking relationships and associated documentation.
- Assist with SOX compliance deliverables.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
Who We Are Looking For: You.
- Bachelor’s Degree or MBA with concentration in economics or finance.
- 1-3 years relevant experience in corporate finance, FP&A, banking, or related field.
- Strong quantitative background and understanding of complex financial instruments and impact on financial statements.
- Experience reporting and analyzing large amounts of data.
- High level of curiosity to explore, learn and understand business information.
- Self-starter with high level of time management skills and ability to prioritize individual workload and meet deadlines.
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with management.
- Experience analyzing information and developing robust models to support business decisions.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel modeling & PowerPoint presentations for management.
- Inclination to proactively identify areas for operational improvement and implement solutions.
