Job Description
Summary
AV is looking for a Financial Analyst II that will support MacCready Works segment with financial oversight of its manufacturing operations, product sales and capital management. This position will work within a team environment comprised of Program Management, Finance, Operations, and other supporting staff. In this role, one must be detailed-oriented and have the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop financial plans including product sales, budgets, and Estimate-At-Completes (EACs) to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned programs
- Ensure compliance with SOX, internal procedures, and government procurement regulations
- Liaison between BD, program management and operations to help with sales forecasting and demand planning
- Monitor cost performance against plans to ensure contractual cost obligations are met
- Monitor progress of work orders (WO) and their status. Address WO variance issues. Review inventory cost data for anomalies, assist in researching and identifying root causes and provide information for corrective action and process improvement as necessary
- Function as an active member and financial advisor to Operations management team. Support Operations staff in developing and interpreting financial and non-financial performance measurements.
- Monitor and collect inventory and cost data; review daily/weekly/month reports and investigate variances to ensure that financial information has been recorded properly
- Assist with creating dashboards and business intelligence reporting within Oracle, identifying key performance indicators (KPI's) reflecting trends in labor and productivity
- Coordinate Capital Asset (CA) processes, monitor, review and assist in the development of cost estimate models and support Estimate At Complete activities and depreciation allocations after approval
- Support ad hoc reporting of perpetual inventory, quarterly E&O reserve, inventory forecasting, operational financial data analysis and ERP accuracy reviews
- Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Prepares project control/financial analysis reports and distribute to customer/user organization
- Support the development of complex cost and pricing models; develop proposal cost estimates, support DCAA audits (pre and post award), and assist with contract negotiations as necessary
- Conducts complex financial analysis (variance analysis, risk analysis, profit/loss analysis, etc.)
- Performs non-routine analysis and prepare non-routine financial reports
- Identify and drive process improvements including reports, tools and presentation materials
- Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience in Finance, General Accounting and/or Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Current expertise in MS Office Suite (Advanced MS Excel required)
- Demonstrated experience in successfully working with other users, finance, planners and support staff in achieving results
Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies
- Knowledge of Government Cost accounting principles and FAR preferred
- Experienced in and knowledgeable of ERP, SCM, and CRM software/applications preferred
- Must be a team player with good oral and written communication skills, and capable of working with various functional organizations to coordinate inputs and outputs
- Normally receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties
- Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives

The salary range for this role is:
$62,741 - $88,935
