Job Description

We are looking for a Vice President of Global Payroll Operations to join our fast paced People Solutions organization. This position is responsible for leading the transformation and oversight of Global Payroll business processes and operations across 80+ countries. This includes managing payroll processing operations of outsourced vendors, internal and external auditor’s requests, ensuring government payroll regulatory compliance, and documenting payroll procedures. This position is responsible for global payroll strategy formulation and execution in various countries. A natural leader who appreciates the challenges and opportunities in a multi-country organization can thrive in this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and execute a global payroll strategy that will take payroll from a decentralized model to a centralized COE.

  • Work with executive management to bring your vision to reality. 

  • Oversight of payroll processing, regulatory compliance, filing and monthly, quarterly and annual reporting. Maintain comprehensive understanding of all new payroll regulatory changes. 

  • Manage operations and SLAs of 3rd party Payroll vendors.

  • Maintain documentation for Payroll procedures and internal controls. Coordinate, document and resolve internal controls issues.

  • Responsible for Operational metrics including accuracy, quality, responsiveness and productivity.

  • Own global time tracking processes and strategy.

  • Develop a Payroll Control Dashboard for global use. 

  • Bring local and regional payroll teams together to form a centralized payroll COE

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of overall global payroll experience

  • 5+ years of experience using the SAP HR, Payroll and Time Management modules.

  • Experience in managing insourced, outsourced, and SAAS payroll in a large organization of 10,000+ employees in multiple regions.

  • Strong project and operations management skills and proven experience in process optimization, use of technology to automate processes.

  • Knowledge of US Federal, State and Local taxation, plus significant exposure to payroll practices internationally. CPP certification preferred.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in payroll operations working with remote location payroll teams and outsourced teams

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills across all levels. Ability to influence stakeholders enabled with data for decision making.

  • Experience in re-engineering processes to improve controls and efficiencies, transforming payroll systems and improving processes and employee experience.

  • Strong experience with ADP, Cloudpay, and other payroll software/providers. 

  • Demonstrated experience in HR / Payroll related project management.
