FCSAmerica is seeking a VP of Capital Markets for our Corporate Business Development team. The ideal candidate would preferably reside in Omaha, NE. Candidates in other locations with strong experience in serving this portfolio will also be considered.

This role will d evelop and manage a portfolio of large, complex, and diverse syndicated and participated multi-lender loan customers by working with leading financial institutions throughout the United States. This position works with food companies, agribusinesses, agricultural production and processing companies and rural utilities by building relationships with leading lenders on a national level.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of the business and marketing plan for the Capital Markets team.
• Provide technical resources to internal and external customers, providing expertise and coaching on large, specialized lending, and/or investment opportunities.
• Manage the day-to-day customer relationships of complex, highly visible accounts on a national level. Regularly meet with customers to keep abreast of information concerning their businesses, needs, strategic direction, and financial performance to determine business opportunities.
• Manage and develop relationships with banks, institutional investors, and Farm Credit partners to foster and capture syndication and participation opportunities.
• Manage and coordinate a comprehensive sales, marketing and investment plan. Develop new and innovative investment alternatives and markets.
• Develop and display expertise in several unique market segments. Keep abreast of industry trends, competitive environment, and industry opportunities and challenges. Develop expertise in industries that are new to the Associations.
• Provide business oriented legal understanding to review complex credit documents to ensure they comply with approved credit actions

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of either commercial lending credit experience or commercial and/or Ag lending experience with increasing responsibilities. This experience should include material exposure to capital markets or related activities with large and complex loans.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, or agricultural economics, with an emphasis on finance, accounting, or management.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Master's degree in agriculture or business or advanced certification in applicable disciplines preferred.
