What you do:Reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer for Allianz Investment Management in the United States, this position will lead the functions responsible for GA middle and back office, investment tools, finance (investment planning, controlling, monitoring, budgeting), ORM and the AIM PMO. In addition, this position will be responsible for further maturation of operational processes with a focus on governance, control environments, operational roles and responsibilities, operational processes, process and technology architecture and customer/provider management. This position will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including: peers within AIM leadership, the global AIM organization, Investment Accounting, Compliance, Corporate Risk Management, Finance and IT.

GA Back and Middle Office• Leads the functions responsible for the daily back-office, including investment system maintenance, reconciliations and settlements• Manages operational controls, including reporting, planning, and security valuation• Includes regular core processes, such as Settlement, Wiring, Trade Confirmation, Collateral Management• Will regularly include and strengthen Data Quality Management as well as remediation of existing operational deficiencies• Covers a wide variety of assets, consisting of liquid and various illiquid assets (i.e. private placements, CMLs, RMLs and various other Alternatives)• Reviews and retains ownership and further develops key control processes

Enablement Functions• Oversees AIM Finance, ORM and vendor management functions• Manages client interaction and issue resolution, including demand management towards business units• Supports accounting/operations across the value chain• Closely cooperates with key stakeholders (Hedging department, Investment Growth, Investment Accounting)• Interacts closely with the counterparts in other HUBs and global functions within AIM• Design and maintenance of process and IT architecture (along AIM global guidance)• Provider management (selection, review and contracting) for investment operations providers, such as custodians and outsourcing partners

Project Management• Ensures operational coordination and integration with clients, global partners and vendors• Actively manages, designs, and optimizes operations processes• Acts as a sponsor for various initiatives, including operational excellence and is the business owner for their progress

People leadership - accountable for displaying strong people leadership abilities with a focus on coaching and mentoring more junior staff, team engagement, ongoing learning, and people strategies

What you bring:

• 11+ years' experience required
• Four-year degree required: 4 year degree required or with equivalent experience; Degree in Finance, accounting, business, technology or equivalent
• Black Belt training
• Advanced degree preferred: MBA, Finance, accounting, business or equivalent
