Treasury Solutions (TS) Pricing Team
The Treasury Solutions (TS) Pricing Team serves as deal pricing experts for products within Wholesale Payments for the entire bank. Wholesale Payments offers over 50 unique product solutions to clients from Small Business Banking to Commercial, Corporate and Investment Banking. In order to optimize both our competitive position with our clients and Truist's profitability, we assist the sales teams to develop pricing on a deal-by-deal basis, as well as, to develop pricing strategies on a macro level. The team manages the pro forma application and other tools to allow our sales team to most effectively go to market with pricing.

Associate Position

The Pricing Associate will serve as a pricing specialist for our sales partners by developing broad knowledge across of our product platform and pricing strategies (including TS products, deposit rates, and Commercial Card rebates). Provide expertise and advisory relevant to the team's areas of focus (pricing, products, enablement, risk, etc.). Leverage experience in field to contribute to overarching strategy through analysis, project leadership, thoughtful communication and dedication to operational excellence. Associates also provide support to the broader TS Pricing team through in-depth analytics as needed.

A Strong Candidate will:

  • Possess strong analytical skills (highly proficient in Excel; experience with or interest in SAS and SQL)
  • Strong preference for a candidate with VBA/ macro experience
  • Be able to multi-task and prioritize; balance short-term deliverables against strategic long-term solutions
  • Have strong attention to detail and the ability to tackle a sharp learning curve
  • Project a polished and professional image to internal partners and senior management


Detailed Job Description

  • Work closely with Wholesale Payments teammates and leadership to support or identify initiatives that create value for Truist. This could include market research and product development initiatives, optimization of existing products, vendor/cost management, pricing initiatives or market positioning projects
  • Independently design or complete client-based, product-based and other analysis including profitability, billing and other items requiring strong excel skills, including VBA proficiency. Leverage and support junior talent to develop efficient analysis skills
  • Assist with business development by supporting new product development, existing product optimization, pricing and proposal efforts or other initiatives specific to their group. Contribute proactively and vet ideas independently and thoughtfully propose them to manager for discussion.
  • Build knowledge to serve as Commercial Card subject matter expert for TS Pricing team, including understanding of card revenue/expenses and ownership of the card pricing tool
  • Create, review and manage product or team content to ensure it is up to date and being leveraged by teammates effectively. Identify gaps in content or training and proactively work to resolve them
  • Build and maintain strong internal partnerships across Wholesale Payments and outside of the immediate organization; work as liaison between groups to manage expectations, move strategic initiatives forward and implement change
  • Provide guidance, oversight, and development opportunities for Analysts
  • Adhere to and follow all applicable policies and procedures. Proactively escalate issues and risks to leadership's attention
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-3+ years of related financial work experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business, Data Analysis or related field, or equivalent education and related training
  • Certified Treasury Professional
