We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative individual to join our growing Treasury team at Upgrade Inc. The Treasury Analyst will be involved in all aspects of treasury operations and will support critical initiatives to facilitate the automation of the company’s cash movement. Reporting to the Treasury Manager, this position will be responsible for day-to-day cash movement for loan servicing, managing lockbox and agency accounts reconciliation, debt sales, setting up new bank accounts and creating the relevant mappings in our systems. This individual will collaborate daily with the Payment Team and Investor Team as well as external partners and banks. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the bank account administration including opening new accounts, preparing DACA requests on behalf of investors, managing account services, maintaining the list of bank accounts in our treasury management system, and bank portal administration
- Process monthly debt sale to our pool of investors, validate the loans being sold, and process proceeds and fee transactions accordingly
- Validate the amounts received in the lockbox and agency accounts on daily basis and ensure that borrowers accounts were credited accordingly
- Hands-on treasury role with direct exposure to all client and investor cash management
- Cross functional partner who will work closely with the finance, investor, and borrower teams to execute domestic transactions
- Identify key issues and work with senior team members to come up with a resolution strategy
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of reports for investors, management, and external auditors
- Develop and/or refine standard operating procedure manuals
- Enforce internal controls to the highest standard
- Support month-end close processes and related management reporting deliverables
- Constantly innovate and challenge the status quo
- Participate in the completion of ad hoc projects
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics
- 1-3 years of financial services or treasury experience; FinTech experience a huge plus
- Experience with Treasury Management Systems, Kyriba preferred
- Computer skills include Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, Google Suite, Oracle NetSuite
- Ability to self-automate using Excel Macros, SQL, VBA, Python and Tableau (preferred)
- Resourceful, proactive, problem solver
- Demonstrate critical thinking and analytical skill sets
- Be an effective oral and written communicator
