Job Summary / Objective
Thriveworks is seeking a Payroll Specialist responsible for the accurate delivery/processing of the bi-weekly payroll. Duties include reviewing the accuracy of payroll transactions and documents, record keeping, audit analysis, and strong Excel skills. This position will work closely with our existing Payroll team members to ensure timely submission of payroll for our growing company.

Essential Functions Include
- Responsible for the preparation and processing of biweekly payroll for Thriveworks employees through Paychex; review and ensure accuracy of clinician payroll calculations; review time and attendance labor for unusual activity, track and deduct payroll deductions.
- Responsible for processing multi-state payrolls. Coordinates efforts between payroll and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data (including preparation/distribution of reports), non-recurring pay adjustments/bonuses, calculation of overtime, editing, and making corrections.
- First point of contact for employees for payroll.
- Researches and resolves any payroll issues that may arise.
- Documents workflow and work procedures.
- Prepares and maintains standard reports, conducts appropriate data audits
- Suggest process improvements and opportunities for automation
Competency / Knowledge and Skills
- High School Diploma, Associate degree in Accounting or business-related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in the accounting and payroll field
- Detail-oriented, experience running high volume payroll in high paced environment
- Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the Finance Team
- Strong excel and analytical skills
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
- Full-time remote position, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
