Job Description

Whole Foods Market utilizes an extensive array of telecommunications services and solutions in order to support its business operations. The administration and management of these diverse services has far reaching implications that impacts virtually every area of the organization. We are looking for a motivated and service-oriented individual who has the right mix of organizational, analytical, and technical skills to support and optimize our telecommunications capabilities.

The Telecom & Expense Analyst will be responsible for providing operational and administrative support for telecom expense management, mobile device management, and vendor relations. This will include the coordination of our diverse network of carriers and vendor partners in order to develop and maintain best in class processes.

The Telecom & Expense Analyst will be part of the Tech Management Office Team (TMO) which provides exceptional business process and technical support with a commitment to strong technology operations, customer service, and team member happiness and excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for any exceptions and issues related to telecommunications services, accounts, and business processes
  • Create and maintain clear documentation related to our telecommunications programs including policies, technical references, and end user training materials
  • Develop, promote, and facilitate team member training related to telecom policies, procedures, and services
  • Act as the primary contact for all telecom carriers and related support vendors
  • Serve as the liaison between internal business partners, technical support, project teams, and external vendors
  • Respond to all Team Member inquiries regarding our telecom policies, procedures, and issues
  • Ensure telecom service accounts are consolidated and optimized with each service provider
  • Ensure that all telecom service accounts are properly paid, categorized, and allocated by our third party service provider
  • Participate in the support the deployment and administration of our mobile device management (MDM) architecture
  • Assist with the review and analysis of ongoing service contracts and renewals
  • Coordinate and participate in special projects and initiatives

Skills & Requirements

  • Establishes effective working relationships with peers, vendors, and business partners
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening
  • Experience with invoicing and expense management
  • Working knowledge at managing competing priorities and ensuring achievement of business objectives
  • Conveys or consults on complex topics within the specified functional area
  • Well-organized, able to multi-task, and adhere to deadlines
  • Work effectively with Team Members and other stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Experience with data analysis techniques and strategies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced experience in Excel (ex. Pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
  • Experience with invoicing systems (Coupa experience a plus)
  • Fundamental understanding of the telecom industry, including best practices
  • Experience with mobile device management and support
  • Retail background, food industry experience preferred

Education & Experience:

  • BA/BS degree and 2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
