This role can be performed remotely anywhere within the United States and Canada

We are looking for someone to join our team of ambitious accountants, and help drive the department, and the company, forward as we continue our rapid growth and global expansion. You’ll be building processes from scratch and inventing company-driving projects.

You will be responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all newly adopted accounting standards, as well as the documentation and disclosure of newly adopted standards. We are looking for someone who has SOX experience, and has worked for a public company or IPO-ready company. Additionally, the quarterly and annual refresh of all technical accounting memos will be a main responsibility of this team member. You will be preparing the more technically challenging areas of the GL on a monthly basis to ensure the accounting is accurate. Oh, and of course, you’ll play a big part in our annual financial statement audit.

You’ll need to be an effective communicator, because you’ll be corresponding with colleagues across all departments, along with third party consultants, vendors and customers across the globe. As the Technical Accounting Manager at FullStory, your work and decisions won’t just impact the books, it will have an impact on the success of the company.

This role will report directly to the Controller.

Day-to-day you’ll:

  • Prepare and oversee all technical accounting for the company.
  • Stay up to date on, and benchmark against, the latest and greatest accounting standards and best practices, as we strive to maintain accurate and compliant financials.
  • Implement new accounting standards.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on all things technical accounting and compliance.
  • Build controls and reconciliations that improve accuracy and reduce risk.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has 5+ years of technical accounting experience matters for a pre-IPO or public company
  • Has experience researching, interpreting, and implementing accounting guidance
  • Has experience creating memos for complex topics (e.g. Revenue)

It would be amazing if:

  • You have experience using SalesForce
  • You are eager to learn a broad range of systems and information, spanning accounting, finance, tax, operations, and payroll
  • You are detail-oriented, and use mistakes as an opportunity to learn and to develop reconciliations that prevent future errors
  • You are a team player willing to help where needed throughout the team and various projects
