Job Description:
Tax laws are quickly and constantly evolving worldwide, particularly with respect to e-commerce and software service offerings. Navigating these complexities as Indirect Tax Manager will allow you to have an immediate and measureable impact on Pluralsight. You'll gain a deep understanding of Pluralsight product offerings and transaction flows while working with a wide range of internal teams as well as external consultants. There will never be a dull moment!

What you'll own:

• Decision making and risk analysis related to application of worldwide transaction tax laws to assure that Pluralsight is compliant and well positioned.
• Analysis and documentation of applicable tax law related to existing and new Pluralsight products and assignment of appropriate tax codes.
• Resolution of accrued sales tax and other transactional tax balances and minimization of company-paid tax.
• Communication with indirect tax consultants and revenue agencies, as appropriate.
• Voluntary disclosure processes and related customer communications.
• Implementation and testing of tax rules within sales tax software.

Experience you'll need:

• Requires a minimum of 5 years of related or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of US and non-US indirect tax concepts including research and application experience.
• Experience with SaaS companies or working in a SaaS environment with both B2B and B2C product lines.
• Experience working directly with governmental agencies to resolve historical tax issues (voluntary disclosure programs).
• Experience with sales tax software-preferably Avalara.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
