Staff Accountant

Our GPU infrastructure is delivered from 5 data centers in Chicago, North Carolina, New Jersey and New York, and rivals the assets operated by the large cloud computing companies. We provide a suite of value-added services on top of access to GPU compute at scale, helping the CGI & AI/ML markets build a more efficient and cost effective cloud infrastructure.
CoreWeave is searching for a Staff Accountant who is excited about taking on new challenges and focused on professional growth. The right candidate will have exposure to every aspect of CoreWeave's accounting function and will help build the team out in preparation for a public transaction.
Your Role:
- Oversee AP/AR and support Controller/CFO cash flow management
- Own the datacenters' fixed assets ledger through the acquisition, disposition, and depreciation cycles
- Prepare complex journal entries for the Controller's review
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation across the bank accounts, corporate credit card, payroll, and prepaid expense accounts, among others
- Drive month-end close to fewer than 10 business days
- Assist with annual financial statements audit, prepare supporting schedules and documentation
- Review transactions to ensure proper accounting treatment and allocation of expenses to various departments
- Provide relevant information for tax filings, and collaborate with Controller/HR Generalist to ensure compliance with state & local filing obligations
- Assist Controller and CFO with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis
Requirements Your Experience:
- 2+ years of general ledger experience preferred, or less experience with Master's of Accounting degree
- Strong interest in personal and professional growth and a desire to keep learning new things!
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business or Finance (required)
- Ability to multitask and stay organized, yet remain flexible in a dynamic work environment
- Proactivity and ability to foresee problems before they arise
- Embraces positivity: you find ways to move forward from challenges stronger and happier
- ERP transition experience a strong plus
- Process and data-driven with a strong analytical mindset
- Ability to work from home with a reliable internet connection and distraction-free environment
- Strong GAAP Foundation, CPA progress preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills, written/verbal communication skills
