The Staff Accountant will play an important role on the accounting team here at FourKites, a fast-growing SaaS company. The position will support the general accounting function including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and financial reporting. Accounting areas include, but are not limited to, corporate accounting, payroll, revenue recognition, and intercompany.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare journal entries and maintain the accounting for critical areas of the business 
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Assist with audits of financial statements and internal controls
• Research technical accounting issues, as needed
• Assist in preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages
• Recommend process efficiencies and further develop the internal controls framework
• Collaborate with team members in US & India

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent degrees
• 1-3 years of accounting or financial analysis experience
• Demonstrated working knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices
• Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial analysis 
• Attention to detail and ability to learn in a rapidly changing environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• CPA a plus
