About the Job:
As a member of the Finance team, you will be working alongside high level industry experts to analyze and report on the firm’s financial position. In this role, you will be responsible for processing bi-monthly payroll processing, management of the corporate credit card program and assisting with monthly close activities.
What You’ll Get to Do:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
- Report and work closely with RISC & US Controller for month end close processes within a short time frame on a monthly basis
- Provide month-end support, including preparation of journal entries and reconciling schedules
- Manage AP and T&E for RISC business unit
- Utilize cash management strategies to ensure sufficient cash flow for business needs
- Conduct reconciliations of all major GL accounts and accruals
- Review monthly Non-Recharge T&E analysis – reconciliation between the Sub-ledger and GL to ensure proper accounting of each cost center
- Perform consolidation, inter-company transactions and reconciliations
- Assist in providing all necessary data for any tax returns (property, sales and use tax and corporate returns)
- Interface with management in various departments, including Operations, HR, Marketing, IT and Legal
- Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements
What You’ll Bring with You:
- BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in accounting
- 2-4 years prior experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area
- General understanding of basic accounting principles
- Experience working in a professional services firm is preferred
- Experience with large, automated accounting systems, preferably with PeopleSoft
- Must have strong experience with Microsoft Office, specifically proficient in Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with all levels and be a team player
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
