About the role

We have an immediate opening for an inter-company Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for accounting professionals who have a desire to grow and have high attention to detail. In this position, the inter-company accountant will work closely with our parent company, IAC, as well as internally to ensure correct accounting across all Angi entities. The inter-company accountant will assist with daily posting of journal entries, reconciliations of inter-company accounts, along with month-end and quarter-end close responsibilities. 

What you’ll do:

  • Actively manage incoming and outgoing inter-company invoices from various companies within the Angi network to ensure all parties agree with amounts, proper support is provided, and then allocating to the correct subsidiaries
  • Complete balance sheet account reconciliations, analyze and correct any variances throughout the month
  • Post necessary journal entries throughout the month i.e., adjustments, accruals, or daily cash transactions between subsidiaries
  • Work with AP team to make sure all cash and inter-company payments have been processed, or received, in a timely manner
  • Calculate interest on loans and notes, and preparing monthly interest schedules
  • Assist with monitoring daily cash transactions, posting those transactions and/or alerting the proper parties when a cash transaction has taken place
  • Work with all accounting teams to confirm correct coding of inter-company transactions and miscellaneous cash transactions
  • Prepare and improve monthly processes to make sure work is completed in a timely, efficient manner
  • Analyze how to make these daily tasks more efficient and easier to understand
  • Take the time to dig into daily tasks to ensure a full understanding of what’s being done and how to improve
  • Complete quarterly financial reporting schedules in a timely manner
  • Provide internal and external auditors with proper support of your accounting work complying with GAAP

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
  • Minimum 1-3 years relevant accounting experience at a public company or accounting firm
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a team, coupled with ability to conduct audits and interact with management (at all levels of the organization) independently
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced, complex, constantly changing environment
  • Detail oriented and well organized
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Superior communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills, with demonstrated application in root cause analysis

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The salary band for this position ranges from $50,000 - $60,000 commensurate with experience. Compensation may vary based on factors such as cost of living
