Job Description

About the Role:

The Indirect Senior Analyst is a newly created position as we are expanding our India Center of Excellence. This role will work in close partnership with the existing Senior Tax Analyst for all tasks and duties as we value teamwork, synergy, and balance. The position will support the indirect tax compliance, audit support, and process improvements for the US based operations only. The Palo Alto Networks Tax team has a long history of promoting from within and all positions have the opportunity for upward advancement. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain a schedule which partially overlaps the US Central time zone, have a passion for personal growth and development, along with a drive for project ownership and completion.

Strong knowledge of reporting requirements and regulation in the US
Demonstrated ability to learn and grow as our tax footprint expands into new jurisdiction
High level of initiative and drive with a natural sense of ownership for projects and responsibilities
Ability to work well independently as well as work well with interdepartmental stakeholders
Ability to communicate professionally, especially when communicating errors or issues
Desire to leverage prior experience, adopt new processes, and adapt to a rapidly changing fast paced environment
Have the ability and passion to be a contributor and creator
 

Qualifications

What You Need to Succeed:

Strong knowledge of reporting requirements and regulation in the US

Requirements (Educational and Experience):

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management from an accredited college or university
CPA is a plus
5+ years of indirect tax experience

Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:

Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Office and tax research tool (BNA)
Familiarity with SAP and OneSource Sales & Use Tax Compliance Software experience a plus
Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
