Sr. Tax Accountant
Fluidra is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant with experience in tax compliance and tax provisions to be based out of our North America Headquarters in Carlsbad, California.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
- Prepare work paper support and federal and state corporate returns, extensions, and quarterly estimated payments.
- Prepare tax provision schedules for financial statement reporting
- Potential Sales/Use Tax and property tax assistance where needed
- Federal & state audits & notices
- Interface with other departments and business units to obtain information required for accurate analysis.
- Work with third-party providers/outside consultants on various engagements.
- Research and make recommendations regarding federal and state taxation issues.
- Stay up to date on current federal and state tax laws.
- Ability to interpret legal documents.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and minimize inefficiencies.
- Willingness to work overtime near deadlines as needed.
WHAT WE SEEK
- 3+ years of professional experience, preferably in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 public accounting firm. Big 4 experience is a plus.
- Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP, tax provisions, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency with Excel formulas and pivot tables.
- Exceptional analytical and verbal/written communication skills required
- Knowledge of Go Systems RS a plus.
- General knowledge of IFRS is preferred but not mandatory.
- Broad exposure to federal income taxation and knowledge of tax regulations.
- Broad exposure to ASC 740.
- General knowledge of international tax; Form 5471’s/5472’s and transfer pricing is preferred
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP and/or Hyperion/HFM is a plus
- Must have the ability to think and work independently and possess excellent time management skills in order to meet goals and deadlines.
- Ability to effectively respond to and interact with multiple levels of the organization as well as outside consultants.
- Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field; advanced degree in taxation is preferred
- CPA certification (active) is preferred.

Expected salary range is $90,000 - $105,000. Fluidra offers a comprehensive total rewards / benefits program that includes base salary, annual bonus based on performance of individual and company objectives, competitive 401K matching, paid vacation and sick time, full range of health benefits, educational assistance, etc. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
