We are looking for an FP&A Director, GTM to join the growing FP&A team. Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for leading and building the GTM FP&A function as well as supporting world class financial forecasting, planning & reporting of the Go-to-Market orgs: Sales, Customer Success, and BD. He/she will help evaluate and determine overall strategy for investment, headcount planning, targets and compensation. The Director will also partner with senior executives in the organizations to forecast, plan and analyze business activities and model out key investments and associated returns.


The Director will interact frequently with senior management in this role and must become a trusted thought partner to his/her teams. 

What you’ll achieve

  • Become embedded with Go-to-Market organizations (Sales, CS, BD). Establish trust and quickly understand the business, economics and metrics 
  • Understand funnel and develop demand and revenue forecasts (short-term and long-term)
  • Work closely with Revenue Ops to track opportunities, bookings and pipeline
  • Develop robust models on pricing, rep productivity, other key business drivers and financial results to drive and streamline the forecasting and planning process.
  • Represent finance in the sales commissions and quota setting process; partner with Sales to achieve buy-in and balance their needs with financial prudence. Manage a commissions analyst and ensure accuracy of monthly commissions payouts
  • Work with Marketing to prepare forecasts in line with Marketing strategy
  • Advise on breakdown of optimal marketing spend across variety of categories, develop models on CAC, CLTV, profitability of sales channels and products and use the results of analysis to influence spend going forward
  • Identify additional data needed for robust planning purposes and help operationalize the systems and data collection processes needed to support analysis
  • Support / ensure creation and data integrity of dashboards and reporting of key GTM metrics to the company and Board; understand and review benchmarks and make recommendations based on both internal and external considerations
  • Focus on sources of variability, understand causes, prepare materials to senior management on variances and implement data-driven forecasting improvements
  • Work with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly reporting cycle
  • Prepare a monthly consolidated go-to-market pack, annual plans and quarterly re-plans as well as weekly bookings and revenue status updates
  • Develop thoughtful analyses and deliver key insights that support strategic decision making, including new market entry in different regions around the world
  • Manage a small but growing GTM FP&A team

What we’re looking for

  • 6+ years post-MBA or 10+ years without an MBA in relevant financial reporting/financial analysis experience with a proven track record of success in positions of increasing responsibility. Minimum 3 years of management experience leading and growing a team
  • Must have prior experience in go-to-market FP&A (or focus on Sales, CS, or PS) at an enterprise SaaS startup or at a private equity backed company. Prior investment banking experience preferred
  • Excellent financial modeling skills and experience leading and managing highly quantitative, complex analysis
  • Very strong communication/ presentation skills with experience creating and delivering effective presentations to senior management 
  • Comfortable with fast-paced, demanding environment. Must manage multiple tasks and juggle several urgent demands at any given point, while adapting to changing priorities
  • 4-year degree from top-tier university with strong academic performance. MBA from top-tier university preferred.
  • Last but certainly not least, you need to be ready to roll up your sleeves and do whatever needs to be done, because, despite our early successes, this is still a start-up.
