Georgia-Pacific, a subsidiary of Koch Industries, Inc. - the largest privately held company in the United States, is seeking a Senior Manager of Finance & Strategy to support our fast-growing fiber-based Mailer business. The Senior Manager is a key member of the leadership team and will ensure sound economic thinking is applied to decision making.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key business leaders and enable sound economic decision-making.
  • Evaluate new product line opportunities stemming from both customer needs and GP's R&D innovations.
  • Support the fast-growing Mailer business by evaluating the cost structure and profitability of various customers and product lines to inform investment and strategic decisions.
  • Work with revenue management team to develop pricing strategies.
  • Identify largest value opportunities and ensure they are prioritized by leadership team.
  • Frame up investment opportunities, shepherd the decision-making process and present large investment requests to senior leadership and investors.
  • Actively participate as a leadership team member with a one team mentality focused on doing what is necessary to create long term value.
  • Advance the Market-Based Management® (MBM®) culture by applying and reinforcing the company's Guiding Principles.
  • Critical thinking capability and framing problems to identify alternative solutions.
  • Drive intellectual curiosity and passion for discovery that leads to insights.
  • Develop a point of view and suggested paths forward.



The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
  • Progressive years of career experience in financial analysis, strategic planning, business development, business decision support, or related roles
  • Experience applying strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; including originating ideas, collecting data, establishing facts, performing analysis, drawing conclusions, and presenting a point of view to key stakeholders and business leaders
  • Ability to perform discounted cash flow modeling, NPV, IRR, ROI and other valuation metrics
  • Experience communicating and presenting financial concepts to various audiences in person and via audio and video formats; you are comfortable being seen and heard
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills (creating large decks, embedding/linking data and media, creating templates, graphic designs and crisp formatting)
  • Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, connecting to external data sources, charts/graphs, heatmapping, pivots)


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Investment banking, consulting, or equity research experience
  • Manufacturing industry and/or Building Products experience
  • Experience with data analysis/visualization tools beyond Microsoft Excel (i.e. Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, VBA, Hyperion, SQL, etc.)
  • Leadership experience(i.e. developing the capabilities of a team, leading transformation, being a driver of company initiatives, project leadership, or similar)
