To provide financial expertise to management and operating subsidiaries in the analysis of financial statements and operational performance. Supports strategic functions such as company budgets, business plans, capital plan, etc. And accounting functions such as developing and implementing policies and procedures, maintenance and review of financial data, reporting financial results, etc.
Prepares financial reports for management and provides or consolidates operating subsidiary input for responses to corporate financial requests. Performs analysis of financial results, explaining reasons for significant variances from plan and between accounting periods. Assists in the preparation, compilation and analysis of the annual business plan, capital plan and strategic plan. Performs periodic updates to business plans to reflect operating changes. Researches and develops accurate interim forecasts and systems which integrate expense, capital and budgeting. Assists in ensuring that corporate requirements are met for holding company and operating subsidiary accounting functions. Conducts special studies and projects such as development of financial policies and procedures and computer-based information and reporting systems as directed by management.
Bachelor's degree/equivalent in finance, accounting or related field. Three (3) years experience in financial analysis, financial planning, business consulting, project management, accounting, auditing or operations analysis. CPA or MBA preferred. Knowledge of advanced personal computer applications and accounting systems. Essbase/Hyperion Planning experience preferred. Strong analytical and communication skills.
