Fluidra’s looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team at our North American Headquarters in Carlsbad, CA.

 

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE 

This position will have an active role in the monthly reporting and analysis, ad hoc reporting, budgeting, forecasting and projections. The Senior Financial Analyst participates in the systems, reporting and analytics function to support the Americas R&D team. The individual is an expert at data and technology management including data acquisition, mining, analysis, data integrity management, metrics management and reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst has expert working knowledge of the utilization and manipulation of business intelligence through various tools such Oracle, Essbase and Excel, including the updates and management of Hyperion and HFM. Additionally, you will:

  • Partner with functional leaders in the derivation and analysis of the operating expense, headcount and capital budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Develop analysis regarding data trends, history, and forecasts and makes recommendations that impact business performance.
  • Understands and communicates relationship of data against budget, forecast and prior year data. Provides guidance on strategic decisions.
  • Work with various functional groups to develop and enhance dashboards, reports and scorecards. Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed.
  • Understands the complexities of R&D financial support including R&D Capitalization and Capital Expense reporting and tracking
  • Experience analyzing and forecasting Net Working Capital.
  • Demonstrate superior analytical ability coupled with the desire and ability to execute on deliverables for real world business applications.
  • Design and conduct other complex ad hoc analyses in support of key business objectives, as necessary.
  • Function as a contributing and effective member of the team.
  • Ad hoc reporting as needed from external data base sources.
  • Provide analytical, reporting, presentation, and Excel support to other departments as needed.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and bring to the attention of senior leadership teams in a timely manner.

 

WHAT WE SEEK

  • 5+ years previous financial analysis experience in consumer products, durable goods, and/or manufacturing company
  • Expert knowledge of business intelligence tools (OBIEE, Essbase, Hyperion Planning, Oracle)
  • Advanced knowledge Excel (especially advanced level pivot tables)
  • Effective utilization of Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Access
  • Strong business acumen and financial analysis skills
  • Influencing and networking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, especially with Engineering executives
  • Ability to work within a team environment to achieve results
  • Ability to grasp short-term deliverables and long-term priorities
  • Daily contact requires courtesy, discretion, sound judgment.
  • Excellent process improvement and problem resolution skills.

 

EDUCATION

  • BS/BA in Business, Finance, Accounting or other related field

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time (for example, 5 hours at a time, 10 hours in a day)
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended of time (maximum 5 hours at a time, 8 hours in total/day)
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to speak and hear on a phone within a shared work space
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 15 pounds
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time

Expected salary range is $90,000 - $110,000. Fluidra offers a comprehensive total rewards / benefits program that includes base salary, annual bonus based on performance of individual and company objectives, competitive 401K matching, paid vacation and sick time, full range of health benefits, educational assistance, etc. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
