You will be challenged to help develop and enable strong, healthy growth for a solution and portfolio Marketing organization.
We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager on our Marketing Finance team to drive our key FP&A processes for the marketing stakeholders. This is a critical and highly visible role that involves active involvement not only in planning, forecasting, and management of our P&L but also in analytics and strategic decision support. You will be an integral link between the business and the broader finance team and will have the opportunity to develop a full end-to-end view of what it takes to manage a growing portfolio marketing org. You will be a good fit if you have experience delivering in and influencing a GTM organization, especially within SaaS. This includes possessing strong analytical ability, willingness to roll up your sleeves with a "can-do" attitude, sound business acumen, and a skilled communicator with a history of building relationships and trust across various stakeholder levels.
Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes you will work toward completing?
Your primary objectives will include the following:
- Preparing and executing the annual planning and quarterly target-setting process including the use and management of our Hyperion and Allocadia application
- A key point of contact and lead with BU VPs of Product marketing and Cross-cloud services stakeholders
- Strengthening the financial management of the marketing organization, including identification and evaluation of risks, opportunities, and recommendations
- Providing business and strategic decision support by connecting spending to return and core KPIs such as CAC, LTV, ARR, Lead conversion, campaign analysis, ROI by the campaign, etc.
- Transition to SaaS, resource allocation, and organization health
- Supporting successful and insight-led-QBR preps for the stakeholders
- Mentoring junior members of the team

You will be reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications Finance who oversees the Marcomm FP&A organization. This is a lean, high-performing team that focuses on identifying and collaboratively driving initiatives that deliver the highest impact to the organization. As financial stewards of the GTM organization, we help identify opportunities for growth pipeline and customer base, manage risk and ensure investment allocation is done wisely.
We're looking for someone who can effectively navigate change, preferably someone who has had experience in SaaS or guiding an organization financially towards SaaS. The person should have a strong sense of ownership and commitment to results, a collaborative disposition, and the willingness to mentor junior members of the team. If you have experience working in corporate finance, Sales finance, or GTM finance, are a self-starter who takes charge of complex tasks with minimal direction, and develops effective ways of approaching business challenges independently and pro-actively, you will enjoy the role. It will help you to have a basic grasp and product knowledge about VMware, be analytical and have expert proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Hyperion Planning/Reporting, and BI tools.
