This position plays a critical role in providing financial reporting, forecasts, and analysis across Aerospace globally. Position involves frequent interface and coordination within the Aerospace Finance and with non-finance functions. Position location is in Phoenix Arizona or Clearwater Florida area.
As a Sr. Analyst in the Engineering Finance team, you will be a key participant in managing costs across the various Engineering groups, analyzing engineering rates and participating in special projects. You will complete monthly tasks related to Engineering results such as Over/Under (O/U) absorption analysis, Short Range Outlook (SRO) forecasts and presenting in the Engineering Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR). You will also complete several processes related to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), forecast cycles, annual rate change process and absorption. You will meet and interact with various levels of the organization, including interaction with the Engineering Finance Leaders and SBU CFO's.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the global Engineering organization for Aerospace related to cost management and O/U rate analysis
- Drive the detailed development of the AOP and formal financial forecasts
- Perform variance analysis interpreting the impact of Aerospace results against monthly, quarterly and yearly plan/forecast
- Present monthly financial results to functional leadership
- Develop new and enhance existing processes used in financial modeling
- Complete annual rate change and year-end flush activities
- Perform ad-hoc analysis based upon changing business needs
- Provide training aimed at improving financial acumen within the business
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- 3+ years of progressive finance and/or accounting experience
- Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
